Wilhelm M. Engeln, age 76, of Clinton Township, NJ died Monday, November 30, 2009 at Country Arch Care Center in Union Twp., NJ. Mr. Engeln was born February 21, 1933 in Rees, Germany, the son of the late Theodore and the late Walburga (nee Moessmer) Engeln.
He was a Baker and along with his Wife, Elly - owned & operated the Clinton Bakery for 21 years. Later, he was employed by the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections where he served as Head Chef at several Correctional Facilities in the Hunterdon County area. He was a Member of the Union Township Seniors Citizens Organization.
He is survived by his beloved Wife of 54 years: Elly (nee Kalina), his three devoted Daughters: Sylvia Engeln of Phoenix, AZ, Nancy Engeln of Blairstown, NJ & Rosemary Engeln of San Rafael, Ca. and his Sister, Ursula Grefres of Clinton, NJ.
Visiting Hours will be on Thursday, December 3rd from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Catholic Prayer Service offered on Friday morning, December 4th at 10:30 am also at the Funeral Home. The Entombment will take place at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Clinton Twp., NJ.
