In the short time I knew Joan, we shared in some laughter, light conversation and quite often a smile. I will fondly remember our "Red Hat" ladies trip to Hunterdon Hills playhouse. My condolences to my cousins and my aunts sisters and family. I remember her as a kind person. My impression growing up was life was difficult for her in South Orange. I haven't been back to NJ for 30 yrs. I hope the years between were good to her and her loved ones.
