Gertrude B. Goeckler, age 90, formerly of Pittstown, NJ passed away on Monday, January 25, Mrs. Goeckler was born December 29, 1919 in Newark, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Frank J. and the late Caroline B. (Brien) Ries. She lived in Pittstown for over 48 years before moving to Flemington 5 years ago.

Mrs. Goeckler and her late husband A. Carl Goeckler owned and operated Spring-Fed Lake Trout Preserve on their farm in Pittstown. She was also part owner and operator of the Lambertville Hotel/Inn many years ago. She loved animals and she enjoyed running her fishing business.

She is survived by her cousins: Theresa McNally, Robert Armstrong and Kathy Arminio.
Predeceased by her beloved husband, A. Carl Goeckler in 1977 and her brothers, Francis and Raymond Ries.

Visitation will be on will be Friday, January 29th  from 10:00 am to 11:00am at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ.  A Catholic Blessing will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.

In lieu of flowers you may make a donation in her memory to a charity of your choice.

We in California are shocked and feel great sadness. Aunt Trudy I will remember with fond memories our visit to your lake and farm. We miss uncle Adolph so very much. You were a kind person; my mother,Margie,felt so close to you. Now you can visit my mom in heaven. May you rest in peace. God Bless you. Peggy,Emily,Peter,Sieglinde and families.
