Obituary of Anthony Nicholas Cuccio

Anthony Nicholas Cuccio, age 25, of Denville, NJ died Monday, April 3, 2006 as a result of being a passenger of motor vehicle that was struck by a train in Oakland, NJ. He was born November 16, 1980 in Teaneck, NJ the son of Salvatore Cuccio of Point Pleasant, NJ and Carol Ann Altamura (nee Samela) of Denville, NJ. Anthony was a Landscape Designer for Finishing Touch in Oakland, NJ. He resided in Denville, NJ for the past 3 years and previously, he lived in Clinton Twp. NJ for 12 years. Anthony graduated from North Hunterdon High School in 1999 and later attended Delaware Valley Technical School. He was known to all as a caring and unselfish person. He was an avid sports fan and was on several Championship Soccer & Baseball teams. Anthony was a big fan of the BBQ Outlaws Semi Pro Baseball Team. In Addition to his Mother and Father, he is survived by his Fianc, Lisa Ann DeFranco, his Step-Father, Arthur Altamura, his Sister, Christina Cuccio, his Brothers, Michael & Daniel, his maternal Grandmother, Lenore Samela, his paternal Grandmother, Vera Cuccio and many Aunts, Uncles & Cousins. Anthony was pre-deceased by his maternal Grandfather, Vito Samela in 1985 and his paternal Grandfather, Salvatore Cuccio in 2005. Visiting Hours will be on Friday, April 7th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and again from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 8th at 11:00 at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801 (908)-735-7319. Family & Friends are invited to meet directly at the church on Saturday morning. The Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Franciscan Friars of The Atonement, In Memory of Anthony N. Cuccio, PO Box 301, Garrison, NY 10524.
