Obituary of Stanley “Jim” George VanArsdale

Stanley Jim VanArsdale, age 81, Clinton, NJ died Tuesday, February 22nd at Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ. Mr. VanArsdale was born April 14, 1923 in Elizabeth, NJ the son of the late Harold W. and the late Frances (Buckley) Vanarsdale. He married Arietta (nee Kempton) 55 years ago. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He enjoyed Reading, Traveling and Gardening. He devoted much time to the Red Mill Museum Village in Clinton, NJ and he spent many hours volunteering as a tour guide. He served as past president of The Friends of the Red Mill Museum Village and assisted in planning many programs. He was employed by North Hunterdon High School in Clinton Twp. as an Athletic Director & Drivers Education Teacher from 1951 until his retirement in 1984. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years: Arietta (nee Kempton) VanArsdale, his Daughter: Luanne Wilt of Bethlehem, PA. his Son: James K. VanArsdale of Clinton, NJ , his Brother: Harold W. VanArsdale of Virginia and 5 Grandchildren. The Visitation will take place on Friday, February 25th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Annandale Reformed Church, West & Beaver Streets, Annandale, NJ (908)-735-7218. The Funeral Service will also be at the Annandale Reformed Church at 1:00 pm Friday, February 25th. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Center Street, Clinton, NJ immediately following the Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to The Red Mill Museum Village, 56 Main Street, Clinton, NJ 08809
