Raymond A Poniatowski, age 82, a life long resident of Pattenburg, NJ died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital of Bethlehem, PA.. Raymond was born October 8, 1932 in Pattenburg. He was the son of the late Walter and the late Karoline (Marciniec) Poniatowski. He started with his brother Chester, Poniatowski Brothers Equipment in Flemington which he ran for thirty-seven years. Ray was a member of the 200 Club of Hunterdon County, Past Mayor and School Board Member of Union Township, Founding Member of Pattenburg Fire and Rescue Company. Ray Loved to work, dance the polka at family parties, Eat his favorite meal lobster and loved a good poker game with friends. He is survived by his wife and soul mate: Marie(Burger) Poniatowski , four daughters: Debbie Poniatowski of Pattenburg, NJ, Susan Poniatowski of Bethlehem Twp., NJ, Judy and her husband Dave Wolfinger of Riegelsville PA, Helene Poniatowski and one son: Steve And His Wife Debbie Poniatowski of Pattenburg, NJ; Granddaughters, Emily And Alexa Poniatowski. He was predeceased by his brothers Walter and Chester. The Visitation will take place Friday, October 10th from 2:00pm to 7:00pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 11 at Immaculate Conception Church, Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. The Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery/Old St. Mary's Cemetery in Clinton, NJ. Memorial donations may be made to Pattenburg Fire and Rescue Co. P.O. Box 5363 Clinton NJ 08809.
