Type Obit Here Walter "Tom" Ferer Clinton Township After a long battle with Alzheimer's, Tom passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2014. Born to Walter and Margaret Ferer in Sewickley, PA, May 20, 1938, and raised in Meadville, PA, he spent most of his life in Colts Neck and Lebanon Township, NJ. A veteran of the armed services and graduate of Penn State University, Tom was Director of Sales for Merck and Co., traveling throughout the U.S. and internationally. He enjoyed being a volunteer fireman, working on the Colts Neck planning board, and coaching his sons in baseball and soccer. He loved fishing and hunting in his earlier years and later loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling, and gardening, building two ponds his first year of retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Diana (Dee) Laird Ferer, his four children Beth Klepper (and Jim) of Clinton Township, Laura Trent (and Joe) of Sparta, Charlie Ferer of Paradise Valley, AZ, and John Ferer (and Claudia) of Weston, FL, and his much loved grandchildren - Kaitlyn, James, and Sarah Klepper; Madison and Peyton Trent; and Maria Claudia and Diego Ferer; and his sister Mary Loftus (and Marty) of Ashburn, VA. A gathering of friends and family will be on Tuesday, October 14th, from 4 to 7 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rt. 31, Clinton New Jersey. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, 10 a.m., at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, 91 Center Street, Clinton, NJ.
