Obituary of Rodolphe G. di Maio

Rodolphe G. di Maio, age 70, of Glen Gardner, NJ died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Rodolphe was born November 8, 1944 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. He was the son of the late Gerardo and the late Rosa (nee Martino) di Maio. He attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science Degree in Management Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Rodolphe retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick, NJ as a Packaging Engineer in 2007, after twenty-five years with the company. After his retirement, he used his knowledge to help educate others by becoming an Adjunct Professor at Brookdale Community College and also at the County College of Morris. Though music and reading were his passions, his true love was his family. He was a proud and devoted husband, father and grandfather, giving honest and true life advice when asked. He is survived by his wife with whom he just celebrated his forty-eighth wedding anniversary in March: Yanick M. (nee Allen) di Maio, daughter: Rachelle and her husband Kurry Emmons, son: Rudy di Maio and his wife Janice; brother: Renaldo and his wife Viviane; sister-in-law Jackie Musci. Grandchildren: Matthew, Nicholas, and Johnathan Emmons, and Vincent and Dominic di Maio. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Rodolphe was predeceased by his brothers Nicholas di Maio and Dr. Joseph Musci. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Rodolphe’s life will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian burial held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 10 at St. Ann's Church, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ. Entombment will follow mass at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum, Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ.
