Obituary of Deborah Jean Medina

Deborah Jean Medina, 51, of Hampton NJ, and formerly from Lynn MA, passed away Sunday evening, July 12th, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Deborah was born and raised in Lynn MA by her mother Dorothy Goudreau, 89, of Danvers MA, and her late father Henry Goudreau, whom she helped care for this year before he passed away in May. Deborah was a 1982 graduate of Lynn English High School. In 1988 she married Daniel Medina, with whom she shared 27 years of marriage, and started her family. Deborah was a homemaker and was extremely family oriented. She enjoyed the little things in life and enjoyed reading outside and planting flowers in her garden. She enjoyed helping others and was known for her generosity and selflessness. Deborah loved to volunteer at the Century for the Cure bike ride, which is a ride to raise money for cancer research, and has volunteered every year for the past seven years, while her husband Daniel was one of the bike riders. Deborah is survived by her husband Daniel Medina, her daughters Meghan, Melissa, Emily, and her son Daniel Jr. all of Hampton NJ. Also surviving are her sisters Michelle Bowden, of California, Carol Hatch, of Beverly MA, Darlene Lundy, of North Andover MA, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday July 17, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Ann's Church, 6 Church Street, Hampton NJ. Interment will follow mass at St. Ann's Cemetery behind the Church. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visiting on Thursday July 16, 2015 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. In lieu of flower donations in Deborah's name may be made to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey, 195 Little Albany Street, New Brunswick NJ 08903.
