Obituary of Annette R. Cannizzaro

Annette R. Cannizzaro, age 76 of Clinton Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2015. Born March 28th, 1939, and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Annette was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Pauline Macca. Annette is survived by her husband Tom and son Michael Cannizzaro and her daughter-in-law Kelly, as well as her sister Maria Rizzi and brother Sonny Macca. Annette will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, friend, and a devout Catholic. She was a leader of the LAMB Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and organized the annual God-Day celebration at the Blue Army Shrine in Washington, NJ. She also spent years as a CCD teacher and Eucharistic minister at Immaculate Conception Church in Clinton, NJ. Annette’s gentle humility and strong faith will always be impressed upon those who knew and loved her. Friends and relatives may gather on Friday, November 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday, November 7th from 8:30 to 9:30 AM at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Mass of Christian burial held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 7th at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Entombment will at the Immaculate Conception Mausoleum on the church grounds. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Annette may be made to Alzheimer Association at alz.org.
