Obituary of Michael D. Rouse

Michael DeArmond Rouse, 59, of Annandale NJ, passed away on July 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Kalamazoo, MI to Frank and Shirley Rouse, where he lived for most of his life. He went to high school at Hackett Catholic Central and graduated in 1974. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in business from Western Michigan University. Michael worked as a Senior Director of Global Business Technology for Pfizer for 29 years. He was profoundly respected by his colleagues and described as “a great leader and the most sincere and genuine person”. He loved golfing, sailing, fly fishing, skeet shooting, Formula One Racing and sports cars. Above all else he loved spending time with his family and making lasting memories. He never missed one of his children’s events and was always their biggest fan. Michael had a great sense of humor and made everyone around him feel comfortable and loved. Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Anne Rouse, of Annandale, NJ. He was the proud father of Erica (Bradley Shearn), David, and Kelsey and the best “papa” to grandson Mason Shearn. He is also survived by his mother Shirley Rouse and step-father Walter Bunce; brothers John and Andrew (Diana) Rouse and their children. He is preceded in death by his father Frank Rouse, his mother-in law Jean Henley, and father-in-law Walter Henley. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road Annandale NJ on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10am. Burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Friends and relatives may gather at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
