Obituary of Katherine Ann Twaddle

Katherine (Kaye) Twaddle , age 85 of Pittstown, NJ formerly of Branchburg, NJ and Hazlet, NJ, died on Monday September 12, 2016. Kaye was born in New York, NY on February 9th 1931. She was raised in Elizabeth, NJ, where she met and married her husband Henry. Kaye raised her eight children in Elizabeth until 1976 when she moved her family to Hazlet, NJ. Kaye was a homemaker until the last of her children began school, when she started her career in customer service at Elizabethtown Gas. She then moved onto a long career in medical billing at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel, NJ and then UMDNJ-UBHC where she retired after 35 years. Kaye was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Joseph's, Keyport, NJ and then St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Pittstown, NJ as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a three time cancer survivor and had a passion for life and family. Kaye enjoyed ceramics, crafts with her grandchildren, family game nights, bingo, camping with friends and cherished the fun times with family. She was also an active member of the Branchburg Seniors. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry Twaddle, sisters Theresa Angello and Patricia Palumbo, and sons Joseph Twaddle and James Twaddle. Surviving Kaye are sisters Joy Santoloci and Ann Clarke, children Henry and Linda Twaddle, Angier, NC; Catherine and Robert Porter, Sayerville, NJ; Christine Brophy, Brick, NJ; Gregory Brophy, Red Bank, NJ; Colleen and William Conk, Keyport, NJ; William and Patricia Twaddle, Pittstown, NJ; Cheryl Rice, Point Pleasant, NJ; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday September 17, 2016 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. A service of reflection will follow the gathering at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Kaye may be made through In Memory Of, for St. Catherine of Siena, Capital Campaign , for the church expansion, at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org
