Melody Calvo

Obituary of Melody Lee Calvo

Melody Lee Calvo, passed away peacefully, on December 19, 2016. Melody, born to Herman and May Calvo on June 8, 1958, was the tiniest pissant of their five children, including three older brothers and an older sister. She loved animals, field hockey, and 4H as a child, and always followed her love for flowers and the outdoors. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. An avid DIY-er all her life, she never stopped creating more and more projects for everyone to enjoy. Despite her tiny stature, she was a force of nature, never to be reckoned with. She would do anything for anyone and never stopped doing. Her favorite moments in life were spending time with her gaggle of grandchildren and being out and about, taking walks on the beach, enjoying nature, and visiting Victorian Inns in Cape May with her doting husband Arthur. She was and always will be our super girl princess. She is survived by her children, Jenna Somogyi and Jessica Luteran, husband Arthur Emerson, stepson Steven Emerson, son in laws Julius Somogyi and Brian Luteran, and grandchildren, Issac, Lyra, Stassi, Joseph, and Benjamin. She is also survived by her brothers and sister and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Friends and relatives may visit with the family on Thursday December 22, 2016 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A funeral service will be held on Friday December 23, at 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made through, IN MEMORY OF, for the Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia and/or the Hunterdon Cancer Center at www.inmemoryof-memorial.org
