Obituary of Catherine M. Bensinger

BENSINGER, CATHERINE M., of Chalfont, PA passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. Catherine (Kay) was born in Italy on October 5, 1927. At age 5 her family came to America. She grew up in Ambler and Lansdale, PA. Kay worked at the Tile Factory in Lansdale and then Bell Telephone until she was married, Once married, she lived in Chalfont with her husband and two daughters for the next 48 years. She resided in Quakertown, PA with her daughter Karen for the last ten years. Kay is predeceased by her husband Dave M. Bensinger, her parents, Concetta and Giovanni Pulli, her sisters Molly Schoelkopf and Marian Mascola and brother Angelo Pulli. She is survived by her two loving daughters Maria Murray, Karen Clouser and her husband Tony. She was the devoted grandmother of Ryan Murray and his wife Jackie, Kevin Clouser and his wife Kristina, Jennifer Keller and her husband Trevor, Vanessa Clouser, David Clouser and wife Lacey. She is also survived by her loving great grandchildren, Brynn, Bailey, Kaydence, Liam and Kendall as well as her brother James Pulli and wife Lois, and Sister-in-law Connie Pulli. Kay was a devoted wife and mother and volunteered as an aide working with a special needs child. Kay also volunteered in a musical nursery school while her girls attended school, and worked at the Bucks County Courthouse part-time for many years as a PBX operator. Once retired, she volunteered at the Doylestown Hospital. Kay enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing and gardening and traveling, but devoted most of her time to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to all. Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 12:00PM at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. Family and friends will gather at the Church from 10:30am until the Mass at noon.
