Obituary of Mary Bridget Isolde

Mary Bridget Isolde, age 76, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Heritage Hill Senior Community of Weatherly, PA. Mary was born March 13, 1940 in County Galway, Ireland. She is the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Connell. Mary came to America by herself as a young girl at the age of 16 with $20 in her pocket and worked as a domestic in Long Island NY. She worked in New York City where she met her beloved husband of forty-four years, Richard, who predeceased her in 2011. In New York, she worked for Cannon Mills as a credit clerk. Mary later found her true calling when she worked for the Warren County Board of Public Health, where she helped take care of many sick patients. Mary later lived in North Bergen and Denville before she moved to Bethlehem Twp. in Hunterdon County in 1986. Surviving is her son Richard J. Isolde Esq. and his wife Allison of Tewksbury, NJ, and her grandson Anthony Isolde. Also surviving are her brothers Miceal and Padraic Conell and his wife Kathleen, her brother-in-law Joseph Isolde, her nieces and nephews, and many dear friends of the Irish Community who were like family to her. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 10:00 am on Monday, January 9 at The Church of Saint Ann, 6 Church St., Hampton, NJ with Rev. Fr. Michael Saharic officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Sunday January 8, 2017 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809.
