Obituary of Barbara Anne Repka

Barbara Anne Gardner Repka 84, died peacefully on Friday January 6, 2017 , at the Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ. Born on June 29, 1932 in Somerville Massachusetts daughter of the late Russel W. and Eva H. Walrod Gardner. She lived in High Bridge, NJ from 1970 until 2007 when she moved to Clinton. She was a member of the American Legion auxiliary, She was Hunterdon County president from 2010-2013. A member of unit 284 in Whitehouse, NJ where she was a past President. She was president of the Historical Society of High Bridge and helped write the pictorial history of High Bridge. Barbara was also a member of the High Bridge Women's Group for many years. She was a member of the Folk Finders Genealogy Group. She was assistant Librarian in High Bridge for 31 years. She served many years on the borough's election board. Barbara is survived by three sons, Paul J of Dayton, NJ, Russel of Whitehouse, NJ, and Joseph of Bushkill, PA. Two Grandsons, two Granddaughters and one great granddaughter. She is also survived my many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Her Husband Paul predeceased her in 1989 and her brother Russel W Gardner in 1999. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 1:00pm at the Whitehouse American Legion Hall-Post 284, 1 Ridge Road, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889.
