Joseph Baldyga, Sr, of Conway, SC passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at his home. Joseph was born on August 12, 1939 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Baldyga.
Before residing in Conway, SC, he spent 29 years in Lebanon Township, NJ. Joseph was a mechanic at Cummins Diesel in Newark, NJ, for over 30 years before he retired.
He loved traveling cross country in his camper with his wife, the love of his life. In his earlier days, he enjoyed horseback riding, motorcycling, crabbing and fishing. Spending time with his family and many close friends both in New Jersey and South Carolina brought him tremendous joy and he was loved by all.
Joseph's beloved wife Georgene predeceased him in 2014 after 54 years of marriage. He is also predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Lambert. He is survived by his devoted children: son Joseph Baldyga, Jr and companion Mindy Wnorowski of Manville, NJ, daughter, Karen Konieczka and husband Alan of Bloomsbury, NJ and daughter, Donna Lebelt and husband Ken of Alpha, NJ. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Michael, Carlee and Lauryn.
A Memorial Gathering for Joseph will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 4:00-7:00pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A Memorial Service with words of remembrance will be held at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
