Ryan was larger than life and his heart was even larger. His joyous spirit abounded in everything he did. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him but his legacy of positivity, joy and love will surround us all. May your memories be a blessing and a comfort in the days to come.

You meet a lot of parents in the drop off line, but only remember a few. As many at the school have shared this week, Ryan started each morning “ripping into the parking lot with that jeep.” His daughter and nephew would come pouring out after already having some version of an adventure all before 9 am. Ryan took the time to get out of the car and talk with all of us, a small but kind gesture that speaks volumes to his character. We could all learn a lesson from Ryan, slow down, have the adventure, take the time to enjoy your people. Becca, Beth, Rachel.. and the rest of Ryan’s family I hope you all feel the love from your community and take comfort in these memories.

Our family had the pleasure of getting to know Ryan last year when our daughters were in the same 1st grade class. While I had known of him—how could you not?—it wasn’t until I attended Beth’s 7th birthday party with my daughter that we truly connected. Ryan had a way about him that made anyone feel immediately at ease. That day, we quickly moved past the usual birthday party small talk and bonded over our shared love of tennis and the fact that we were the oldest parents in the room. Finally, another parent in their fifties!
Our daughters eventually started taking tennis lessons together every Monday with cousin Jeremy. Those sessions became a highlight of our week—an hour filled with entertaining stories about tennis, hockey, music, life on the farm, parenting triumphs and epic fails—while we watched our daughters try to master their backhands, interrupted by occasional song and dance moves on court that only two 7-year-olds could share. Tennis lessons soon turned into playdates, family dinners, and lasting memories.
Though we didn’t know Ryan for long, I know we’ll never forget him. He made such an impact in that short time, and we will miss him.
Ryan, game, set, and match point.

Big Love and Support to family and friends from fellow hockey team CBK! So sad to hear, he was genuinely loved by all on the ice even when things got testy. May his character continue to shine through daughter and close family/friends :)

I am deeply saddened and heartbroken to hear of Ryan's passing. I had the privilege of getting to know Ryan and performing with him, Rebecca and Rachel, and the rest of the Randy Morning Band many years ago. He was a talented musician, funny and outgoing, and a wonderful human being on so many levels. The biggest and most painful regret that I have is that I will never have the opportunity to reconnect with him. My sincere thoughts and condolences go out to Rebecca, Beth Ann, and the rest of his family through this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to your family during this sad and difficult time. I had the pleasure of meeting Ryan during morning drop offs at school. His wide smile and positive energy were always a highlight of the drop-off line when he brought the kids to school. He would always get out of the car and come over to say hello and shake our hands. I hope memories of his kind and loving spirit bring your family peace and comfort.

I got the privilege to meet Ryan only last year at a jam session at Troy and Jes’s house. I immediately liked him! He had a positive vibe and presence about him! I only got to hang out two more times with him and they both involved music. One was a live jam at the family farm and the other was a private jam. I loved his voice and really loved his original music from his former band Randy Morning. He gave me two cd’s from the band and I absolutely can’t stop listening to them!!
I truly wish I got to know him better and play more music with him. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and everyone who knew him. Rip brother
