Obituary of Jeanne Elizabeth Kane
Jeanne Elizabeth Kane (née Zipper) passed away unexpectedly at her home on April 9, 2025.
Born in Orange, New Jersey, she was the cherished daughter of Rose Zipper and the late Eugene Zipper. Jeanne grew up in Madison, New Jersey and graduated from Madison High School before earning her bachelor’s degree from Vassar College.
Jeanne was self-employed and worked in marketing research, where she brought dedication, intelligence, and creativity to her work. Her career reflected her ability to connect with people and her sharp attention to detail.
On January 11, 1986, Jeanne married the love of her life, Kevin Kane. Together, they raised two children, Anne Marie and the late Christopher Kane, and built a life filled with devotion, laughter, and love in Hunterdon County.
Jeanne was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She was deeply involved in her children’s lives, from attending sporting events to volunteering in the community. Always reliable and kindhearted, Jeanne was someone you could count on to lend a helping hand or offer a warm smile.
She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially bicycling and gardening. She found peace in the changing seasons and took great joy in watching the daffodils bloom and catching the sweet scent of lilacs in the springtime.
Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Kevin Kane; her daughter, Anne Marie Kane; her mother, Rose Zipper; her sister, Barbara Macneil and her husband Phil; and her brothers, Carl Zipper, Richard Zipper and his wife Debbie, and John Zipper and his wife Cathy. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Christopher Kane, and her father, Eugene Zipper.
Jeanne’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be remembered always.

A Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Monday April 14th, 2025 from 5pm until 7:30pm at Martin Funeral Home located at 1761 Route 31,Clinton, New Jersey, 08809. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will be held at 7:30pm immediately following the memorial gathering. Jeanne will be laid to rest on Tuesday April 15th, 2025 at 11am at Old Saint Mary’s Cemetery on Halstead Street in Clinton, New Jersey.
