For the Family,
Memories of my cousin are of a sweet little boy... long ago. So, for me, he's still Peter. At these sad times, I believe our hearts are sent back to those Old Days to gather up and share the memories that otherwise might be hard to find. Mother's Day was clearly chosen. It's filled with memories of those gatherings at 273 Lincoln Avenue in Mt. Vernon. We can close our eyes now and be certain that there were three angels sent to accompany Peter. And we know that everyone we've loved and lost welcomed him to Heaven. Please picture all of them together again... watching as Jesus wrapped His Gentle Arms around Peter. And then hear all of their voices at once sharing what it was like to be in Heaven when Pope Francis arrived! Peter has all of them again.
I promise a Rosary Walk for Peter and for comfort in your hearts. And I'm so very grateful for your decision to place a bench at the beach... a place to gather and share memories... it's perfect.
