Obituary of Gabriella Lorraine Rivers

February 16, 1936 – May 23, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gabriella Lorraine Rivers, who departed this life peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, Gabriella built a career as an executive secretary at AT&T in Bedminster, New Jersey. A devoted member of St. Ann’s Church in Hampton, she was active in the choir and the Rosary Altar Society. Gabriella was a constant source of love, strength, and wisdom to her family and all who knew her. Her warmth, kindness, and sharp sense of humor left a lasting impression on many, and her memory will continue to live on in those she leaves behind.

She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Her legacy is one of grace, generosity, and deep devotion to family and community.

Gabriella is survived by her sister Aldonna Petro; her daughter Karen and son-in-law Michael Brown; her son Kevin and daughter-in-law Lisa Rivers; her grandchildren Meghan and Kevin Nemeth, Kaitlyn and Andrew McMaster, and Zachary Brown; and her great-grandchildren Rowan and Rory Nemeth.

She was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Jean Czerwinski; her husband of 32 years, Charles Rivers; and her brother, Richard Czerwinski.

Friends and relatives will be recieved on Thursday, May 29th from 4:00 until 7:00PM at Martin Funeral Home, located at 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, May 30th at 11:00AM at the Church of Saint Ann, located at 32 Main Street, Hampton NJ 08827. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
