Obituary of Richard Allen Grohoski

Richard Allen Grohoski, age 65, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center after a courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis, surrounded by the love of his devoted family.

Born on June 4, 1959, in Summit, New Jersey, Rich was the beloved son of the late Frank and Barbara (née Sieben) Grohoski. He grew up in Kenilworth, NJ, and graduated from David Brearley High School with the Class of 1977.

On August 9, 1986, Rich married the love of his life, Donna Gregory. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and creativity, and were blessed with their cherished daughter, Victoria.

Rich was a master jeweler, known for his precision and artistry during his many years with Braunschweiger Jewelers in Morristown, NJ. His meticulous craftsmanship reflected not only his professional skill but also his deep passion for beauty and detail.

A man of many talents, Rich was an accomplished artist who found joy in painting and drawing. He had a deep appreciation for history and was an enthusiastic model maker and preservationist. His creativity and dedication touched every project he undertook.

Rich will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Donna Gregory Grohoski; his daughter, Victoria Grohoski; his siblings, Lisa Grohoski, Stasia Burke, Stefanie Grohoski, and David Grohoski; as well as by his many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Barbara Grohoski.

A memorial visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, June 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, June 3rd at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ 08801. Inurnment will follow in the church.
