Obituary of John S. Stashefski

John S. Stashefski, 71, of Lebanon Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025.

Born on July 29, 1953, in Plainfield, NJ, John was the beloved son of the late John and Catherine Stashefski. He was a proud graduate of South Plainfield High School, Class of 1971.

John enjoyed a successful 30-year career as a programmer analyst with AT&T. Following his retirement, he pursued his passion for health and wellness by becoming a personal trainer.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, John was an accomplished athlete and earned numerous trophies during his years playing softball. He also had a deep appreciation for nature, spending time gardening and fishing. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Jets.

John is survived by his cherished daughter, Nora Stashefski; his loving sister, Rose Rodriguez and her husband Tito; and his brother, Stanley Stashefski and his wife Carole. He will also be remembered fondly by many cousins and dear friends.

A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, with a service of remembrance beginning at 4:30 PM, at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ 08809.
