Obituary of Nagat Tawadros
With deep sorrow and abiding love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Nagat Tawadros, who passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025, just two days after celebrating her 86th birthday.
Nagat was born on July 1, 1939, in Cairo, Egypt, and lived a life marked by strength, devotion, and deep faith. In Cairo, she met her devoted husband, Boshra, and together they built a strong foundation for their family. They were blessed with two daughters, Odette and Mahy, and later emigrated to the United States to offer greater opportunities and a brighter future for their children.
Nagat was known for her resilience, her generosity, and her pride in her Egyptian heritage, which she passed down through traditions, faith, and family gatherings centered around her wonderful cooking. She had a warm sense of humor, a strong moral compass, and a deep commitment to the people she loved.
Following the passing of her husband Boshra in 2011, Nagat continued to be a steady and loving presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. Her family remained her greatest joy and source of pride.
She is survived by her daughters, Odette and Mahy; her five grandchildren, Andrew, Julie, Michael, Jessa, and Kara; as well as extended family and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
Friends and relatives will be received on Friday July 11th, from 11:00AM until 12:15PM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, located at 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, New Jersey. Orthodox Mass will follow the visitation at 12:30PM. All services will be held directly at the church. Entombment will be held privately by the family. Arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Clinton NJ. To send condolences to the family, please visit www.martinfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to StrongLikeTom, in honor of her beloved son-in-law Tom, who passed away in 2023 following a courageous battle with prostate cancer. Please Click Here to Donate
