William Pubylski

Obituary of William C. Pubylski

William (Bill) Pubylski, 78, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. A devoted father, Bill leaves behind three cherished daughters, Adrienne Pubylski, Whitney Pubylski-Yanofchick, and Victoria Pubylski, who were the absolute lights of his life. He will also be missed by Whitney’s husband, Todd Yanofchick and his two grandchildren, Henry Ellis and William Raymond Yanofchick.

Born in Teaneck, NJ, Bill had a boundless passion for life that he shared generously with everyone he met. He grew up in Fair View, NJ with his older brother, Joseph, and younger sister, Diane. Fair View is also where he met his lifelong best friend, Norbert Camerlengo. Though separated by distance later in adulthood, Bill and Norbert kept in touch and their children continue to carry their legacy of friendship and chosen family.

Bill proudly served in the Navy. After being honorably discharged, he worked in the reinsurance industry in both New York and New Jersey to support his family.

Affectionately known as Uncle Billy to his extended family, his kitchen and grill were the hearts of his home, where he spent countless hours orchestrating delicious meals to feed his expansive circle of family and friends. The joy he found in gathering loved ones around his table was evident in his famous ribs and brisket and every boisterous laugh that filled his home.

Bill's infectious humor and quick wit brought smiles to countless faces. He possessed a fantastic sense of humor, always ready with a joke or movie quote, and loved nothing more than sharing music and a good laugh with others. Beyond the kitchen and the laughter, Bill harbored a lifelong admiration for classic cars, carpentry, photography, humanitarianism and travel, passions that he shared with his loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Heekin Pubylski, his parents, Catherine (nee Belina) Pubylski and Joseph Francis Pubylski. Bill’s legacy of love, laughter, and delicious food will forever be cherished by his daughters, his son-in-law, his grandchildren, his brother, his sister, his sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and his extended family.
