Obituary of Sharon Maureen Dunn

November 17, 1957 – August 5, 2025

Sharon Maureen Dunn, 67, of Glen Gardner, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, at Rolling Hills Care Center.

Born on November 17, 1957, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Sharon was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Joan Dunn. She spent her early years in Dunellen before moving to Glen Gardner, where she built her life and community. A proud graduate of North Hunterdon High School, Class of 1975, Sharon went on to work for Prudential Insurance Company in various locations before dedicating many years to administrative roles at both North Hunterdon Regional High School and Wood Glen Elementary School. She retired in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and professionalism.

Sharon loved the simple joys of life — relaxing at the beach, browsing the shops, and selecting jewelry to perfectly match her outfits. Above all, she was devoted to her dogs, who she lovingly referred to as her “babies.” She opened her heart and home to many throughout her life, giving them the care and affection they deserved.

She is survived by her uncles Kenneth Kane and Michael Kane; her aunt Joan Kane; dear friends Dolores Wilkinson, Lani Kimenhour, and Cindy and Tim O’Keefe; as well as many cousins and cherished friends. She was predeceased by her parents; her uncle William Kane; and her aunt Nancy Hoffman.

In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, cremation will be private, and she will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton, New Jersey, beside her parents.
