Obituary of Earl Anderson Edwards
February 16, 1971 – September 27, 2025
Earl Anderson Edwards, 54, of Hunterdon County, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at Hunterdon Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on February 16, 1971, in St. George’s, Grenada, West Indies, Earl was the beloved grandson/son of the late Myrtle and Morris Edwards. He graduated from Baldwin High School in 1988, where he began building the strong work ethic and creative drive that would define his life.
Earl was a true entrepreneur—resourceful, determined, and visionary. Over the years, he built a life rooted in both ambition and purpose, balancing his professional pursuits with his deep devotion to his family. He was a gifted author, musician, and athlete, each role reflecting a different side of his vibrant spirit.
To those who knew him best, Earl was more than his accomplishments—he was a role model, a leader, and a man who raised his family with strength, love, and faith in what truly matters. He found joy in simple pleasures like fishing and writing, often finding peace and reflection in those quiet moments.
Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Robertina Edwards, and their cherished children: Asante J. Edwards, Zada Edwards, Zibassie Edwards, Kenya Edwards, and Kente Edwards. His life and legacy continue through them, in the values he taught and the love he gave unconditionally.
He was predeceased by his Verna Edwards, Myrtle Edwards, and Morris Edwards, as well as by Jenny, who preceded him in death.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rehman, Dr. West, Dr. Chen, and the staff at Hunterdon Cancer Center and their extended friends and families of Hunterdon County for their compassionate care and support throughout Earl’s illness.
Earl’s life was one of passion, perseverance, and devotion—to his family, to his craft, and to his dreams. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
