Barbara Regan

Obituary of Barbara J. Regan

Barbara J. Regan, 71, of Hampton, NJ, passed away on November 8, 2025, in Flemington, NJ. Born on October 26, 1954, in Glen Ridge, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Ada Regan.

Barbara was raised in Bloomfield and spent most of her life there before moving to Hampton to be closer to her son and his family—something that brought her endless joy. A devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, she built her life around the people she loved.

For many years, Barbara worked as a supervisor at ShopRite, where she made deep and lasting friendships. To many of her coworkers, she became a second mom—someone they could trust, laugh with, and rely on. Barbara’s kindness, warmth, and steady presence created bonds that felt more like family than work relationships.

Nothing meant more to her than time with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She cherished attending their sporting events, celebrating birthdays and holidays, and spending countless Sunday afternoons watching football together. Summer vacations down the Jersey Shore were among her happiest memories, filled with sunshine, laughter, and cherished traditions.

Barbara was an excellent cook who loved preparing her favorite meals for the people she cared about. She also had a deep love for animals and always made room in her heart—and often her home—for them. Staying connected was important to her; she enjoyed long phone calls catching up with friends and loved using Facebook to stay close to the people in her life.

Those who knew Barbara will remember her as a good soul—kindhearted, respectful, and genuinely caring. She cherished her friendships, had a wonderful sense of humor, and could always make someone laugh with a well-timed joke. She listened without judgment, made people feel valued, and was always there when someone needed to talk. Her warmth, generosity, and fun-loving spirit made her a gift to everyone who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her son, Damion Regan, and his wife Johanna; her cherished grandchildren Dante, Alexa, and Devan; her sisters Karen Bower and Sheila Hozey; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Rosemary Feeley and Joseph Regan.
