Obituary of Russell L. Steinman, Jr.

Russell L. Steinman, Jr. age 52, of Asbury, New Jersey, passed away on November 28, 2025. Born October 1, 1973, in Summit, NJ, he was the son of Elaine C. Steinman and the late Russell L. Steinman.
Russ grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Ridge High School in 1992. Russ received his Bachelor’s in Sociology and Psychology in 1997 from Franklin Pierce, then went on to receive his Master’s in Industrial Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1999. After college, he built a respected and successful career, most recently serving as Director of Marine at Cincinnati Insurance in Cincinnati, Ohio. Russell was known for his strong work ethic, professionalism, and dedication to his field.
On September 21, 2002, Russell married the love of his life, Heather. Together they built a beautiful family and shared 23 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and partnership. Russell was immensely proud of his two sons, Russell L. Steinman III and Ryan W. Steinman, and took great joy in supporting their interests and accomplishments.
Russell had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found peace on the water. He especially enjoyed boating and skiing, often sharing these activities with his sons — creating memories that will be cherished forever. To those who knew him, Russell was a steady, loyal, and thoughtful presence — a proud father, devoted husband, and a man who lived with purpose.
Russell is predeceased by his father, Russell L. Steinman Sr.
Russell will be forever loved and deeply missed by his wife Heather, his sons Russell III and Ryan, his mother Elaine, brother Jeffrey and his wife Robyn and their children MacKenzie and Zachary, brother in law Travis Smith and his wife Danielle and their children Samantha and Madison. Also surviving many extended family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Friends and relatives will be received on Wednesday, December 3rd from 11:00 until 1:00PM at South Ridge Community Church, located at 7 Pittstown Road, Clinton NJ 08809. Funeral Service and reflections will begin at 1:00PM in the church. Cremation will follow all services privately. Arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Clinton NJ.
