Obituary of Marc Andrew Castanien

Marc Andrew Castanien, age 72, passed peacefully at home on December 25, 2025.

Born on November 2, 1953, in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, Marc was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County. He was deeply rooted in his community and valued family above all else.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Jean Castanien, and sister, Wendy Varga.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Maureen Sheila (Petrozelli) Castanien; his beloved children, Catherine (Jonathan) and James (Sara); and his cherished grandchildren, Penelope, Henry, Charlotte, and Frederick. He is also survived by his brother, Eric (Kathleen) Castanien, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Marc will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his steady presence, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
