Obituary of John P. Migliaccio

John P. “JP” Miglicaccio, 47, died peacefully in his home in Glen Gardner, New Jersey on February 2, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer.

JP was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on August 28, 1978, the son of Barbara Migliaccio (Marra) and Carl Migliaccio. He graduated Voorhees High School in 1997 and later attended Lehigh Valley College (formerly Allentown Business School) where he majored in Criminal Justice.

JP had a long and devoted career as a fire fighter. He first joined the Glen Gardner Fire Company as a junior member in 1993. He later served as Chief for the company in 2003, and again from 2020 to 2023. During his career, JP also became an Emergency Medical Technician with the Hampton Emergency Squad and was one of the crew members that responded to the World Trade Centers after September 11th, 2001. His love of his career was ever present; those closest to him know he never missed a chance to appreciate the unmistakable Q-siren.

Beyond his career as a public servant, JP was a loving father to his daughter, Dallas. They loved to play softball any chance they could and barbequing. He will be remembered as a fighter who served his community and his family with a strong sense of duty and a wicked sense of humor.
