Obituary of Peter H. Ropke

Peter H. Ropke, age 63, of Clinton Township, NJ died Monday, March 24, 2014 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Clinton Twp., NJ. Peter was born February 27, 1951 in Augusta, Georgia. He was the son of the late Henry and the late Dorothy (Simpson) Ropke. He resided in Avenel, NJ before moving to Clinton Twp., NJ 23 years ago. Peter graduated the University of Maine at Presque Isle with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a minor in geography. Mr. Ropke was the Director of Secondary Marketing for Investors Bank in Milburn, NJ. Peter enjoyed sailing, singing and golf. He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Lynn (Hacku), his daughter, Melissa Clabough & her husband, Michael, his son, Jonathan and his cherished granddaughter, Abigail. Additional survivors include his brother, Eric, his aunt, Sandra and his uncle, William. Peter's Life Celebration includes visitation on Friday, March 28th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a funeral service offered at 6:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. The interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
