Carol Levandowski

Obituary of Carol Anne Levandowski

Carol Anne Levandowski (née Varnerin) passed away on January 26, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was an inspiration and a joy to all who knew her.

Carol was born on May 17, 1966 in Summit, New Jersey to Lawrence and Marie (Hynes) Varnerin. As one of eight children, she enjoyed growing up in Watchung with her siblings and taking summer vacations to visit grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She graduated from Mount St. John Academy in 1984 and from Stafford Hall School of Business in 1985, becoming an accomplished human resources specialist. Her professional skill set translated well to her roles as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend; she was deeply empathetic, an exceptional listener, and a diligent advocate for those she loved. Carol married Thomas Levandowski on May 23, 1987. Together they had four children: Brian, Patrick, Kelly, and Jamie.

Family, friendship, and togetherness were the constant center of Carol’s life. Bonding time with her sisters, birthday celebrations with her children, parties with her Levandowski family, and vacations to Lake Winnipesaukee, the Florida Keys, and Mexico were the memories she savored most. She was an incredibly positive person, always expressing gratitude for the things she loved: a steaming hot cup of coffee, a beautiful cheese plate, a good back rub, and most of all, the cardinals and songbirds she watched from her living room window.

She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Levandowski, and her parents, Lawrence and Marie Varnerin.

She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Levandowski; her son, Brian and his wife Molly; and her daughters, Kelly and Jamie. She was loved and supported by her large extended family. She will be missed dearly by the many people whose lives she touched.
