Obituary of Caroline Rodgers

Caroline Rodgers, age 91, of High Bridge, NJ died Friday, June 21, 2019 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township, NJ. Caroline was born August 6, 1927 in Westfield, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Clifford Springer Toms and the late Flora (Wittke) Toms.

Raised in Westfield NJ, Caroline moved to High Bridge NJ over 30 years ago. She enjoyed camping, and visiting and taking pictures of covered bridges in New England. She was a true lover of the outdoors and animals. She was a supporter of various environmental organizations, volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for several years, and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Surviving are her three children William Rodgers, Candis Shehata and husband Terry, and Scott Rodgers and wife Dorothy; five grandchildren - Jeffrey and Christina Rodgers, Derek, Alexander, and Nathaniel Shehata: and three great grandchildren - Leona, Camille, and Talia.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 29, 2019 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 State Route 31 Clinton, NJ. Interment will be held privately.
