Obituary of Frederick A Carlson
Frederick A. Carlson, age 78, of Warminster, PA passed suddenly on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at his home. Fred was born November 13, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ. He is the son of the late Albert T. and the late Ethel (Wilson) Carlson. Raised in Saddle Brook NJ, he resided in Hunterdon County for over thirty five years and in Warminster PA since 2001.
Fred enjoyed a thirty-five year career with the NJ Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife and retiring as the Chief of Wildlife Management.
An avid hunter, he also loved to fish and enjoyed playing poker with his boys and watching the horses run with his beloved wife Barbara. Fred also enjoyed treating everyone to a great meal at many different restaurants.
Fred is survived by his wife of thirty eight years Barbara Lake Feist ; sons, Craig and Curt Carlson of Califon, NJ; step daughter, Tami Amici and husband Louis of PA; step son, Robert Appleton of Pottsville, PA; Grandson's, Wade and Ian Carlson; Step Grandchildren, Aidan Breustedt and Dena Appleton. Also surviving is his brother Alan Carlson of Vernon, CT
Relatives and friends may gather on Monday July 8, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton NJ 08809. A funeral service will be offered Tuesday July 9th at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Cremation will follow privately.
