Obituary of Randall Frey

Randall Scott Frey was born in Summit NJ August 4, 1954, son of the late William C. Frey and late Roxanna Quimby-Frey. Randy was raised in Chatham NJ where he loved to play ice hockey and soccer throughout his Chatham school years. Randy graduated from Lehigh University where he majored in business and continued playing ice hockey. While at Lehigh, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Randy’s business career was devoted to Chubb & Son Inc. which spanned across 39 years. He was involved in multiple areas where he worked as a Surety Underwriter, Financial Planning Analyst and Assistant Vice President of Office Leasing. He was a truly dedicated employee until his retirement in 2016.

Randy was a loving husband of 40 years to his wife, Carole and the most amazing father to his two sons Kyle and Brett. He loved music, especially the music that his family created and performed. There was no one more loyal or supportive than Randy in being there for his family in every capacity. To encourage and support his family’s musical interests, Randy opened a family business called “The House That Rocks”. This became a great place within the community for students and musicians alike to take lessons on various instruments, record their music, and for bands to rehearse. He was always at the front desk greeting everyone with a genuine smile and interest in what they were doing. Randy was especially proud of the great accomplishments he witnessed from the musicians that graced his life through his family, friends and The House That Rocks.

Randy was a kind, generous, and gracious man - - words cannot express how much he is loved and how greatly he will be missed.

In lieu of flowers Randy's family has chosen two organizations that exemplify him as a person. Donations may be made through IN MEMORY OF for Mr.Holland's Opus Foundation and/or Jazz House Kids at https://inmemof.org/randall-frey
