Obituary of Anthony T. Sterlacci

Anthony T. Sterlacci, age 90, of Pittstown, NJ, formerly of Belleville,NJ passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. He was born January 7, 1924 in Jersey City and was the son of the late Gaetano and the late Antonetta (Nese) Sterlacci. Mr. Sterlacci was a passionate Carpenter. He was employed by Inland Steel Company in Kearny, NJ as a maintenance man until his retirement. He served in the Army Air Force during World War ll. He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus and was a Life Member of the Carpenters Union Local 253. He is survived by his loving children: Robert, Thomas and wife Melva, Mark and wife Monica, Paul, Ramona, Marybeth and husband Dale Moore and Linda Palmarini; his dear grandchildren, Jamie, Anthony, Lisa, David, Jennifer, Mark, Melissa, Steven, Brianna, Brittney, Lisa, Michael, Kasey and Rebecca; his cherished great grandchildren: Michael, Ariana, Lucas, Madison, Kyle, Jack, Jenna, Cloe, Zoey and Ryder. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Anna Marie, his son, Anthony Jr., brother, Michael and sister, Catherine Miele. Visitation will take place Sunday, February 9th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, February 10 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Interment will follow at Clover Leaf Memorial Park in Woodbridge, NJ. Donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
