Robert J. Donohue of Glen Gardner, N.J. passed away on March 6, 2014. Robert was born in Jersey City, N.J. where he grew up and resided during his early adult years. He then moved to Middletown, N.J. and lived there between the years of 1981 to 2005. It was there where he was a devoted father and husband to his wife, Iris A. Donohue and his two sons, Alex and Matthew.
Robert J. Donohue moved to Glen Gardner, N.J. in 2005 where he resided for the remainder of his life. Robert was a loyal and hard working diligent operations plant manager for two steel companies during his lifetime. His first place of employment was the Baldwin Steel Company in Jersey City, N.J. It was there that he developed the logistical and managerial abilities to effectively oversee companywide daily steel operations.
Robert J. Donohue's second place of employment was Bushwick Metals inSouth Plainfield, N.J. It was here where he proved that he was a great asset to the company. Robert would often discuss how he enjoyed his career and why he would never retire. He believed work kept his mind youthful and agile. Mr. Donohue loved to accomplish the daily organizational goals and managerial tasks placed before him. It gave him great joy at the end of each day that Robert could complete more work than seven men combined.
Robert J. Donohue was predeceased by his older brother, Timothy Donohue and his younger brother, Michael Donohue. He is survived by his wife Iris A. Donohue and his two sons; Alex and Matthew Donohue, along with a host of supportive friends.
