Obituary of Brian K. Matsen

Brian K. Matsen, age 55, of Bloomsbury, NJ, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg, NJ. Brian was born on June 22, 1958 in Staten Island, NY. He graduated from Tottenville High School in Staten Island in 1976. Formerly of Perth Amboy, Brian has been living in Bloomsbury for the past 13 years. He worked for Don Jon Marine Co. in Port Newark as a maintenance engineer. He enjoyed fishing, boating and fixing things around the house. He also liked to barbeque and cook. He is survived by his wife of over 29 years: Camille (Pacolt) Matsen; his sons, Brian and Scott Matsen; his mother Reberta Matsen, his brothers, John, Michael and Robert Matsen; his sisters, Linda Rasmussen, Sheila Brown, Debra Picone, Cheryl Matsen-Nieves, Brenda Numis, Jill Paramithis and Colleen Matsen. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Lila Montalbano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brian's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Tuesday, April 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Rt 31, Clinton, NJ. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, April 9th at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
