Obituary of Irene Brosang

Irene Brosang, age 89, of Whiting, NJ died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Community Medial Center in Toms River, NJ surrounded by her loving family. Irene was born October 5, 1924 in Morristown, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Walter Livingston and the late Florence F. (Mitzendorf) Starin. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Irene spent most of her life in Clinton, New Jersey and most recently resided in Whiting, New Jersey. She was a proud supporter and member of the John Birch Society, a historian and avid reader. She was a member of the Starin and Clark family who date back in history to our countries' founding fathers. Irene is a descendant of the Starin family who came over from Holland in the late 1600's and a descendant of Thomas Clark, Pilgrim (8th Great Grandfather) who came to America on the second ship after the "Mayflower" called the "Anne" in 1623. Survivors include her devoted daughter, Elizabeth Newman, her cherished grandchildren; Hayley & Meryll, many loving nieces & nephews and her ex-husband, William Ides. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Ernest Brosang. Irene's Life Celebration will include visitation on Saturday, May 10th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral service held at 12:00 pm on Saturday also at the funeral home . The interment will follow at the Spruce Run Cemetery in Lebanon Township, NJ.
