Thanks Chrissy, there are some odd complications that have slewod things down. The illness he contracted due to his Chemo treatment was unusual so the coroner had to be informed. The undertaker was away for the weekend and didn't get back home until yesterday, which has caused a further delay. The bank holiday weekend will delay it a bit more. On the plus side the undertaker was a personal friend of my Dad and was able to add some personal thoughts on what might be appropriate. My Dad has been in and out of hospital with serious illnesses for some time and he always bounced back. He always had hope for more stable health. The best thing we can do is treat him with the dignity he deserves.

You brought so much joy and laughter to the world. I will always remember your beautiful smile and the perpetual glint in your bright blue eyes. It was a privilege growing up in Chester with you and I remember all the times we played in your family's backyard. . . you, Jeff, Joan, Janice, Lou and me; what fun we had. And those great camping trips - what fun!!!

John was one of the most sincere and kind person I have ever met. He always had a way of brighting my day. I remember after I had been in a car accident and my car door was all smashed up and I had to go in the passenger door to get in the car all the time. He want out and beat on the door till it worked and opened for me. He was a walking ray of sunshine. He had a heart of gold and was a angel on earth. Heaven is lucky to have him back. You will be missed my friend...xoxo

If the skies were gray well then John was that ray of light that broke through. He always found time to make me laugh and smile at work. He'd always mess up my neat desk at work. John was humble, generous, full of life, and a truly good person. Heaven is lucky to have him.
