Obituary of Catherine Cocozza

Catherine Kay Cocozza, age 98, formerly of Queens, NY passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Summer Hill Nursing Home in Old Bridge, NJ. Mrs. Cocozza was born October 19, 1907 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Francesco and the late Maria (Laurenzano) Pizzigno. She lived in Richmond Hill, Queens for many years before moving to Annandale a short time ago. Mrs. Cocozza was a homemaker, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Catherine was a avid seamstress, ballroom dancer and an excellent cook. Always surrounded by family and friends she will truly be missed. She is survived by two beloved daughters: Linda Lauchaire of Annandale, NJ, and Evelyn Ryan of Queens, NY and two beloved sons: Richard Barbuto of Longmont, CO., Robert Barbuto of Tequesta, Florida. She had 8 loving grandchildren: Richard, Lori, Denise, Erica, Melissa, Christian, Robert and Lisa, and 3 dear Great-Grandchildren: Aidan, Meghan & Nicole. She is also survived by her Sister: Anne Lamont. Pre-deceased by her husband: Anthony Robert Cocozza, who passed away in 1975; also pre-deceased by a sister and 5 Brothers. Visitng hours will be Tuesday, May 30th from 2:00pm-4:00pm and again from 7:00pm-9:00pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 31st at 10:00 at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Old Allerton Rd., Annandale where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Clinton.
