You were like a grandfather to me and someone that will never and could never at that be forgotten. You were one of the most talented and loving person I've ever met and I will miss you. I wish I would have gotten the chance to tell you all this in person, but I have to believe that you knew or can hear me now. I'll never forget your trains, your photographs, dinners as a family, and all the memories that I will forever hold tight to. I love you very much.

Thank you for being such a great Grandfather to my neices and nephews. I never had the honor of meeting you, but I know of lots of stories through the years. Your personality and heart will be missed. I did get to see your amazing home. I'll keep an eye on the kids for you.
Rest In Peace. Love, Traci

I met Terry when I joined the Cranford Millburn Camera Club five years ago. I recognized his extraordinary talent and looked to him for guidance as I developed my own photography skills. Terry freely offered his help and, most importantly, he gave his friendship. I am saddened by his passing and will miss having him in my life. The next time a look at a Terry Boyer photograph, I’ll think about all the times I asked, “how did you do that?” He always showed me.
The next time I take my own photograph, I know Terry will be standing right behind me.

Anything I type will not express the deepest sympathies that go out to the Boyer family.
I will share this, I met Terry years ago when I was visiting with Todd and Debby. They took me over to see his house with the pond and the "huge" train set in the basement and also to meet him of course! Unexpectedly I had took along my young daughter and Terry was handing out little somethings to the children, at the time I think it was Brandon and I believe a niece who was also visiting, he had not known about my child but you know he went inside and found a little troll doll and gave it to my daughter so she would not feel let out. That memory has stayed with me. What a man in everything he was about!
Deepest and Sincere Sympathies,

For My Dear Cousin Terry,
During our busy working years we drifted apart and it wasn't until life slowed down a bit and circumstances brought us back together again these past few years.
I thank the Lord for giving us that special time and I thank the Lord for you, Terry - I'm going to miss you, but now I have wonderful memories to keep close to my heart.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Cathy and your family.
From your cousin Sue.

Grandpa, there isn't going to be a day that goes by that we won't think of you. There isn't enough space to fill w/all the words we want to say to you, we all know how much you love us, your always around us, we still walk in your home and there isn't a room where we don't feel your presence. We know you're looking out for us and carry all your guidance and wisdom with us forever. We will continue to make you drawings, we will feed the deer for you and watch the birds at the bird feeder and know you're right above us looking down with such pride as we continue to do things that make you so proud. We miss you, we love you, we will always remember you. Lots of kisses and hugs grandpa!!!!
Loads of love forever, Brandon, Brianna, Alexander, Aiden, Bryce

I introduced my best friend Terry to fly-fishing and he introduced me to Yellowstone. Our trips there together were priceless. His love of the outdoors also taught me so much more than fishing. From Terry, I learned about trillium and fiddleheads and to just notice the beauty of the outdoors that had gone unnoticed by myself previously. I will think of Terry each spring as I walk the streams we once fished together. I will miss you buddy.

Mr. Boyer touched all of us who cared for him at CINJ. He exemplified the meaning of the word "strong". Yet, at the same time, he always was interested in everyone and loved to share his stories as well. I am proud to say that we have a beautiful reminder of his talent in our treatment area and will always remember a wonderful, kind spirit as we look at his inspiring photograph. He must be truly in his element as he explores the beauty that is heaven.
My thoughts and prayers go to Cathy, who faithfully and without complaint accompanied her husband to each and every visit. She exemplifies the meaning of the word "selfless". She is an inspiration to me and to my co-workers. She must know that she will always find a legion of fans who will go to the ends of the earth for her at CINJ.

We are all born with the gift of free will. We have the choice to do what is good or to do evil. We have the choice to do right or we have the choice to do wrong. Terry chose to do good and right.
I have known Terry for over 30 years and during that time I have never heard Terry swear, say one unkind word, nor have I ever seen him lose his temper.
Whenever I was unsure what to do, all I had to do was to talk to Terry. He was always there to help, encourage and to guide me through my difficult times.
When I think of Terry, I can't help but think of some of the wonderful qualities that he possessed and just to name a few, he had respect for others, courage, responsibility, trustworthyness, loyalty, thoughtfulness, compassion, and was honest, sharing, caring and gentle.
But the most precious quality, he had was the gift to Love. Terry loved his wife Cathy, his son Todd, his daughter in law Debbie, all his grand children whom he adored each and every one, all other family members, friends and nature itself.
There were times when I was over their house and it got to be late in the afternoon. The deer started to come out of the woods and into the open field in his yard. Terry would get up and quietly go outside. You see, there was one particular deer that sensed Terry's gentle, loving spirit, for this one deer would walk right up to Terry without hesitation. Terry's love and respect for God's creatures did not stop there.
Yes, God gave Terry another gift, the gift to photograph. Remember when Terry and Cathy went to South Africia on safari? Terry told me, "You can go on a safari for days or even weeks and see nothing". Terry and Cathy were truly blessed. I'm sure we all have seen the magnificent slides from their safari. You can just see Terry's love, passion and respect for nature in the pictures that he was able to take.
Terry also loved to fish, and come to find out, fishing is a family tradition. Terry's grandfather taught his son, Terry's dad taught him, and Terry taught his son Todd and now Todd the torch has been passed to you.
One day, when I was visiting Terry and Cathy in the hospital. Cathy was sitting next to Terry, and I was sitting next to Cathy. When all of a sudden, in a deep, clear, loud, strong voice, Terry turned to Cathy and said "I LOVE YOU". I looked over at Terry and said what about me?. He responded,"I LOVE YOU, I LOVE EVERYONE".
TERRY, YOU WILL FOREVER LIVE IN OUR HEARTS.
