Obituary of Eileen M. McAvoy

Eileen M. McAvoy, age 90, of Clinton, NJ died Friday, February 10th at home. Mrs. McAvoy was born August 13, 1915 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of the late Dr. Alonzo W. and the late Margaret (nee Kennedy) Little. She resided in Clinton, NJ for the past 19 years and previous to that, she lived in Milfrod, NJ and Warren Twp., NJ. She was employed by the Watchung Hills Regional School System in Warren Twp., NJ as a Teacher. She also worked for the Hunterdon County Board Of Education as a Coordinator. Mrs. McAvoy was active in the Jennie Haver Memorial Scholarship Fund and very involved with Swim Inc. - Hunterdon County Chapter. She is survived by three Daughters: Kate McAvoy of Harpers Ferry, WV, Nancy McAvoy of Vestal, NY & Joan Austin of Glen Rock, PA. and two Sons: Dennis McAvoy of Clinton, NJ & James McAvoy of North Plainfield, NJ. In addition to her children, she is survived by her Sister, Catherine Robinson of Oneonta, NY, 9 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her Husband, Thomas A. in 1983 and her Daughter, Margaret Peggy Spencer in 1999. There will be a Memorial Mass on Friday, February 17th at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception RC Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ #908-735-7319. All other services are private and at the convenience of the family.
