Obituary of Frederick G Wille
Frederick G. Wille, age 95, of Clinton, NJ died Monday, September 27th at Branford Connecticut Hospice in Branford, Connecticut.
Mr. Wille was born December 19, 1908 in Staten Island, NY the son of the late Gustav and the late A. Marie (nee Rapp) Wille.
He was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran in the 323rd Bomb Group and served throughout England, France and Germany from 1942 to 1945.
He was recognized by the Mayor of Clinton as The Ultimate Clintonian. Mr. Wille was a celebrated and admired citizen of Clinton, New Jersey. In 2003, he participated in the new Leigh Street Bridge opening ceremonies as the first to drive across the bridge in his new sports car. He travled extensively in Europe during his retirement to renew his WWII contacts and visit relatives & friends in Germany and Switzetland. His interests included playing cards, cooking, driving and making trips to local casinos.
Mr. Wille was a 42 year Employee Of Taylor-Wharton Iron & Steel Company beginning in 1929 and Served Taylor Wharton In Many Capacities. He was also a 20 year employee of The Town Of Clinton and began his career in 1958 as Municipal Assessor, then Assessor-Treasurer and retired in 1978.
He is survived by his Niece, Judith Miller Wong, her Husband, Jeffrey Wong and their Children, Reanne and William Frederick Wong of Connecticut.
There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, October 3rd at 2:00 PM at the Clinton Presbyterian Church, 91 Center Street, Clinton, NJ (908)-735-5029.
