Obituary of Harding “Skip” Aylward

Harding Skip Aylward - age 64, of Holland Township, NJ died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Easton Nursing Center in Easton, Pa. Skip was born February 25, 1942 in Brockton, Massachusetts the son of Harding L. Aylward Sr. and the late Martha (nee Anderson)White. He served in the United States Navy on the USS McCaffery, a destroyer escort vessel, from 1959 to 1963 during the Bay of Pigs Invasion. He was a HVAC Technician and owned & operated Tempmatic Inc. in Branchburg, NJ. Skip enjoyed fishing, birdwatching, woodworking and spending time with his family. He resided in Hillside, Nj for 3 years, Piscataway, NJ for 7 years and then Union Twp., NJ for 33 years before moving to Holland Twp., NJ a short time ago. Mr. Aylward is survived by his beloved Wife of 43 years: Helen Aylward (nee Clifford) two Daughters: Denise A. Aylward of Belvidere, NJ & Karen E. Quick & her Husband Jeffrey of Holland Township, NJ and one Son: William J. Aylward D.V.M of South River, NJ. Additional survivors include, his Father, Harding L. Aylward Sr. of Rhode Island, his Sister, Carol A. Eckhardt of Walpole, Massachusetts and his Grandchildren, Michael & Mackenzie Quick. He was pre-deceased by his Mother, Martha Anderson White. Date and time to be announced - Interment with Military Honors will take place at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ (Arneytown). All other services will be conducted privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, PO Box 451429, Atlanta, Georgia 31145-9429
