Obituary of Dorothy M. Brown

Dorothy M. Brown, age 88, of Greenwich Twp., NJ died peacefully Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at home. Mrs. Brown was born November 24, 1917 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of the late John J. and the late Natalie (nee Lehne) Murphy. She was a devoted Wife, Mother and a Homemaker. She resided in Greenwich Twp., NJ for the past 10 years and previous to that, she lived in Thornwood, NY (Westchester County). Dorothy was an active member of the Friends of the Red Mill in Clinton, NJ. She is survived by three Daughters: Janet Shannon of Frenchtown, NJ, Marilyn Barrett of New Milford, NJ and Susan Fagan of Bloomsbury, NJ. Additional survivors include, her Grandchildren, Pamela Shannon, Cynthia Berndt, Stacy Draper, Colleen, Jim, & Eric Fagan; her Great Grandson, Kyle Berndt, her Niece, Nancy Kunis, her Nephews, Bruce & Douglas Hayes and her Sister-In-Laws: Frieda Hayes & Lola Murphy. She was predeceased by her 1st Husband: Fritz Withiewicz in 1965, her 2nd Husband: William F. Brown in 1995 and her Brother: John J. Murphy in 2004 Visiting Hours will be on Thursday, October 19th from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a brief Prayer Service on Friday, October 20th at 10:00 at the Funeral Home with the interment immediately following at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ.
