Obituary of William H. Hamilton
William Bill H. Hamilton, age 76, of Pattenburg, NJ (Union Twp.) died Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township. Mr. Hamilton was born November 27, 1929 in Rye, NY the son of the late Hugh and the late Winifred (nee Lewis) Hamilton.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his Country from 1951 to 1953. Bill was a Carpenter and was employed by the NJ Water Authority in Clinton, NJ retiring after 25 years. Mr. Hamilton also worked for the former Decker Construction Company in Clinton, NJ. He was an avid Stamp Collector and also enjoyed camping & woodworking. In addition, he was a VFW Member and a member of the Union Twp. Senior Citizen Orgainization.
Mr. Hamilton was a member of Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company in Pattenburg, NJ for the past 50 years and served as Past Chief. He resided in Pattenburg, NJ for the past 51 years.
Bill is survived by his beloved Wife of 51 years: Rhoda (nee Richard) Hamilton, two devoted Daughters: Heidi Hamilton of Phillipsburg, NJ and Mindi Liebermann & her husband, John of Pattenburg, NJ. Additional survivors include his cherrished Granddaughters, Breann & Kelli, his Sister, Eva Edwards & her husband, George of Clearwater, Fla., his Cousin, Jessie Harper of Rye, NY and many longtime Friends.
Visiting Hours will be Sunday, October 29th from 2:00 to 4:00 pm & from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a Funeral Service on Monday, October 30th at 10:00 am also at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place at the Bloomsbury Cemetery in Greenwich Twp., NJ.
