Obituary of Robert J. Gutschke

Robert J. Gutschke, age 83, of Edison, NJ died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Kindred Hospital of Rahway, NJ. Mr. Gutschke was born January 25, 1929 in Newark. He was the son of the late William and the late Rose (Drosbach) Gutschke. He was a longtime resident of Edison NJ. Robert "Bob" was a NJ Licensed Life Insurance Agent employed by Prudential Insurance Company in Metuchen, NJ for many years before retiring. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He graduated Seton Hall University and he enjoyed golfing, gardening and fishing. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Rita (Horgan) his daughter, Ellen Rose of Locust Valley, NY and his sons; William Gutschke of Washington Twp., NJ and Robert Gutschke of Waltham, Ma. Additional survivors include his cherished grandchildren: Maria, Daniel, Katie, John Paul, John, James and Anne. Robert's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday, January 11th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. There will be a funeral mass celebrated on Saturday, January 12th at 10:00 am at St. Ann RC Church, 6 Church Street, Hampton, NJ.
