Obituary of Catherine M. Santry

Catherine M. Santry, age 96, of Raritan Twp. NJ passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at her daughter's home in Clinton, NJ. Mrs. Santry was born November 22, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of the late Francis and the late Ethel (Shanley) McDonnell. Mrs. Santry lived in Brooklyn, NY before moving to Raritan Twp., NJ in 2002. She worked for Travelers Insurance Company in New York City for many years before retiring. Catherine was a very independent woman who enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. She is survived by her beloved daughter: Joan Flotteron and her husband Jim; her loving granddaughter, Donna Cahill and her husband Kevin; her cherished great-grandsons, J.J., Jamie and Robby Cahill, her brother, Francis McDonnell; her sister, Margaret Forte; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband, Jeremiah in 1997. Visitation on Friday, January 18th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 8:45 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 2 White Bridge Road, Pittstown, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
